Malaysia has stopped issuing British Postal Orders.

I have been sent a photocopy of an information leaflet announcing the discontinuation of the issue of B.P.O.s in Malaysia as from the 1st. of September 2007.The last date of issue for B.P.O.s in Malaysia was the 31st. of August.

Unfortunately,the information that has been sent to me is in Malayan only.

Malaysia will still continue to issue its own postal orders though.

Mal,it is text only,I'm afraid.It is still interesting to know that Pos Malaysia has discontinued the issue of B.P.O.s.I reckon that you should mention this in the next issue of the 'P.O.N.'.

Aidan. No point in sending it, do not worry. However, a question - did they use the current BPOs? If so, they will be very scarce...............Mal

Mal,I think that they would have used the current series of B.P.O.s.I told my Aussie contact who emailed me from Yogyakarta,Indonesia to try & get some B.P.O.s,& get them datestamped.It was in his reply that he told me about the discontinuation of B.P.O.s in Malaysia.He had emailed me from Johore just over 3 weeks ago asking me what postal orders he should buy.
